To request an interview, feature story, or media event with LAFD, please email LAFDrequest@lafdi10.org with the following:
- Story Overview – a brief description of your story and how LAFD factors in
- Deadline – the date and time you need a response or information by
- Specific Request – a statement, interview, access, data, or something else
Most requests are scheduled in advance to ensure proper staffing and accommodation. Please allow 48–72 hours for non-emergency requests to be processed.

Fire reports and California Public Records Act (CPRA) requests must be submitted by mail.
